Community Partnerships Manager
Feyone (pronounced Fee-on) is the daughter of Vietnamese refugees that were settled in Aurora, CO. She just moved back to Colorado after attending graduate school in Rochester, NY where she received her Master's in Biomedical Engineering. She received her Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering in 2018 from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She was actively involved in the Gates Millennium Scholarship program after becoming a recipient in 2013, as well as other diversity based organizations such as her sorority, Sigma Psi Zeta, the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE), as well as the Student Center for Inclusion and Culture (SCIC). She was a founding member of the Collective Success Network of Philadelphia, a nonprofit that provides mentorship and networking opportunities for first generation and low income students with professionals to prepare for their careers after college.
She's excited to serve as the Community Partnerships Manager for the Social Fabric Hub, as CACEN is where she found her voice as a young, Asian American woman during her high school years. She was the founder of the chapter of Next Generation Voices, at Rangeview High School in 2011, and was mentored by Annie in this role. She also reminisces on her time participating in the Miss AACO Leadership program in 2013 which helped her to develop many leadership skills before leaving Colorado for college. She is excited to be home and to help build this community center and support the Asian community in Colorado.
